Girls Inc. Programming:

We serve more than 1,000 girls a year through our award winning, research-based programs offered through our after-school programs, school vacation week programs, Summer Fun Camp, Eureka!, and outreach programs. 

We deliver programming at our Schenectady Site, located at 962 Albany St., Schenectady NY 12307 and at our Albany Site, located at 80 Central Ave.,  Albany NY 1220. Our after-school programming runs from September to December and January to May each school year.

Kids’ Corner Assistant – Part Time  (Start Date: ASAP)

Job Description:  Provide programs for girls grades K-12. Program assistant will be responsible for providing support to the program specialist including aspects of planning, implementing, and evaluating programs, including but not limited to, incorporating progressive, age-appropriate skills and safety concerns.

Schedule:   January-May, Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm / September – December, Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm

Qualifications: AAS, and experience working with children preferred. Valid driver’s license required.

Sports & Adventure Specialist – Part Time  (Start Date: ASAP)

Job Description:  Provide programs for girls grades K-12. Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of planning, implementing, and evaluating programs, including but not limited to, incorporating progressive, age-appropriate skills and safety concerns.

Program Assistant – Part Time  (Start Date: ASAP)

Job Description:  Provide overall administrative support for the programming department including:  Preparation of correspondence; providing accurate data entry and maintaining accurate database records; processing youth registration information; coordinating production of brochures, flyers, and mailings; supervision of member arrivals and departures each day.

Schedule:  January-May, Monday-Friday 1pm-6pm / September – December, Monday-Friday 1pm-6pm

Qualifications: AAS and experience working with children preferred. Valid driver’s license required.

Girls Inc. Generalist – Part Time  (Start Date: ASAP)

Job Description:  Support the development department and business office department. Provide overall support in finance, payroll, and administration, as well as special events, mailings, and data entry.

Schedule:  30 hours per week, January-December, Monday-Friday

Qualifications: Associates Degree required. Experience working in office environment; experience with office equipment and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills and be computer literate.
