Girls Inc. of the Greater Capital Region Receives $50,000 in New York State Funding to Expand Programs for Girls

Albany, NY [June 2, 2026]: Girls Inc. of the Greater Capital Region is proud to announce that it has received $50,000 in New York State budget funding to support programs that inspire girls to be strong, smart, and bold. This investment will help expand access to evidence-based programming, mentorship opportunities, and leadership development experiences that equip girls with the skills, confidence, and support they need to thrive in school, in their communities, and throughout their lives.

“We are deeply grateful to Senator Patricia Fahy, Assemblymember Gabriella Romero, and Assemblymember Angelo Santabarbara for championing these efforts, and for their steadfast commitment to the girls and families we serve,”  said Ashli Fragomeni, CEO of Girls Inc.of the Greater Capital Region. As dedicated community partners representing the Capital Region, Girls Inc. has been strong advocates for creating opportunities for girls to succeed and reach their full potential.
