Our 9th Annual Coat Drive with Bank of America
On November 12, Girls Inc. of the Greater Capital Region and Bank of America came together at our Schenectady center for our 9th Annual Winter Coat Drive, making sure our girls are equipped to take on the winter months with warmth and style! With 106 brand-new coats donated by Bank of America employees, the event showcased community support and commitment.
Throughout the afternoon, Bank of America volunteers joined our staff to help each girl—ages 5 to 12—choose her own winter coat. The room buzzed with excitement as the girls picked out the perfect colors and styles, bringing smiles all around. This drive serves as a reminder that our girls have a strong network behind them, people who believe in their potential and want to see them succeed. This is what our partnership with Bank of America has been about for the last 21 years—building up our region’s youth, one initiative at a time.
This annual coat drive has become a cherished tradition for us here at Girls Inc., and a reminder of what can be achieved when we come together. A huge thank you to Bank of America and everyone involved. Each coat chosen, each smile exchanged, and each volunteer moment is a step toward reminding our girls to feel confident, capable, and ready for the future!
