FREE After-school Programs
Schenectady Girls Inc. offers a variety of new programs, Monday-Friday, the center is open from 2:30 P.M. to 5:45 P.M. and is wheelchair accessible. Girls must register for the programs they wish to participate in. Programs are generally divided into age groups.

Registration starts on Tuesday, January 10th from 12-7pm at our Schenectady Center, located at 962 Albany St, Schenectady. Registration continues Wednesday, January 11th from 9am-5pm.

Girls are assisted with homework.
Builds skills and interest in science, math and technology through hands on fun activities!
Economic Literacy/She’s on the Money:
Learn the importance of money management and investment through fun play! This program fosters the development of skills needed to be financially self-sufficient.
Learn various programs such as Microsoft Word, Power Point, Publisher and more!
Learn how to problem solve positively.
Learn how to make and eat healthy snacks.
Learn the basics-the rules of play, kicking, running, jumping and having fun.
Prepare for leadership and community service.
Examine and discuss the thoughts and images that T.V. place upon us.
Working with area partners, Girls Inc. is able to enhance the the experience we provide girls. Girls Inc. is privileged to have a multi-year partnership with Albany Medical Center. The partnership focuses on providing after-school and summer health-related programs to stimulate girls’ interest in healthcare and science, as well as the many career opportunities at Albany Med.
Summer Fun offers girls an exciting array of activities at our center in Schenectady! Girls will explore, discover and imagine as they engage in fun, interactive and hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities.
