Girls Inc. and MVP’s Project GO

Girls Incorporated® of the Greater Capital Region has entered MVP’s Project GO Competition with the goal of winning a $2500 grant to fund Project BOLD, a signature Girls Inc. program.

Girls Incorporated, with free after school centers in both Schenectady and Albany, serving over 200 at-promise girls, inspires all girls to be strong, smart and bold.  Project BOLD is a comprehensive initiative of Girls Incorporated aimed at promoting health by addressing the impact of violence on the lives of girls and young women ages 5-18. The goals of Project BOLD are to increase the skills and resources girls have to protect their physical autonomy and personal safety; to help girls and young women recognize and claim their right to be free from sexual harassment in neighborhood, school and work environments; and to provide girls and young women with opportunities to act collectively to reduce the level of violence in their communities and in their lives.
